The Electronic Music Course is a 1 term course that meets for a full 90 minute block during 4th period. Students will be introduced to and develop proficiency in using Garage Band, iMovie, iTunes, iPhoto, and other applications in Apple’s iLife suite. These will facilitate the ability to create digital publications, which will include music compositions, movie soundtracks, digital slideshows, original movies with soundtracks, and podcasts. Digital projects will be completed individually and within cooperative learning groups. Students will also develop an understanding of music theory and music history concepts as they relate to assigned projects. Writing will be incorporated into the curriculum through student journals, writing responses, podcast assignments, and more.

This course will require the use of the mobile lab MacBook laptops and students will be assigned a specific computer for the term.
