Blood
Drive
- One
of our service projects this year was assisting with the blood drive
again. On November 6, the community bloodmobile arrived at Seward High
School to set
up for donors in the gymnasium. Blood donations were taken on both
the sixth and seventh. FBLA worked alongside other Seward High organizations
including FFA, FCCLA and Key Club to make this project a success.
The goals of this project were to educate
students in the procedure of being a donor and to realize the importance
of donating to a worthy cause. Every FBLA member was asked to either
donate blood or find someone to donate blood in their name.
This project was a combined effort of
many of the members of FBLA. Involvement in the planning process, advertisement,
assisting the staff in setup and take down of the needed equipment,
providing cookies, and assisting the donors, were just a few of the
tasks that allowed for the success of the project.
