	This session will introduce you to ten simple apps and/or technology based projects that can help make Social Studies “come alive” in your classroom.  Applications and projects to be shared include: Google Chrome Apps, iMovie, Garageband, podcasts, etc. AND how they can be used for projects such as Virtual Scrapbooks, Infomercials, Newsreels, virtual tours for historical research and others.  Designed to help you formulate ideas for your own classroom!

	- finding and using latitude/longitude of known locations (5 Themes Geography)

2) “Art Project” App (Google Chrome)
	- Rennaisance Art research project (Virtual images of Renaissance Art)

3)  Google Earth as a geographic learning tool
	- using Google Earth to find and learn about various locations

4) “Ancient History Encyclopedia” App (Google Chrome)
	- excellent research tool for project based learning

5) using Google accounts to help with saving student projects, etc
