Board of Equalization

A regular meeting of the Seward County Board of Equalization was convened in open and public session at 8:30 a.m. on March 25, 2008 in the Commissioner’s room at the Seward County Courthouse.  Notice of the meeting was posted on the Courthouse bulleting board and on the Commissioner’s room door.  The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours.  The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board.  The Board of Equalization has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting.

Commissioner Stuhr called the meeting to order and noted that the public meeting information is posted as required by law and available for public distribution if requested.

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

 

Moved by Koci and seconded by Miller to approve the minutes of March 11, 2008

Affirmative vote: Koci, Miller, Dedic, Ruzicka, Stuhr                         Motion Carried.

 

Moved by Miller and seconded by Ruzicka to approve the Tax List Corrections #23-07P, 35-07R and 36-07R. 

Affirmative vote: Miller, Ruzicka, Dedic, Koci, Stuhr                         Motion Carried.

 

Moved by Koci and seconded by Dedic to authorize the Seward County Assessor to advertise for a public hearing on April 22, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. and to notify the applicants.

Affirmative vote: Koci, Dedic, Miller, Ruzicka, Stuhr                        Motion Carried.

 

Moved by Ruzicka and seconded by Miller to adjourn at 8:36 a.m.

Affirmative vote: Ruzicka, Miller, Dedic, Koci, Stuhr                         Motion Carried
